NewsLook is an Add-in for Outlook which gives you full, unrestricted access to Newsgroups, tightly integrated into Outlook.

You can download it now. The trial version has a nag-box. To get rid of that, you'll need to purchase a full Licence.

Main Features

NewsLook's main features are:

• Proper Threading in Outlook folders

• Flexible Kill File - increase importance of posts as well as decrease or ignore them
• Tight Outlook integration

• Cross-post checking across servers
• Google groups search link for the current thread
• Collects new posts automatically on a timetable of your choice
• Attachments (MIME and UUEncoding)
• SSL connections are supported

Supported versions of Outlook are Outlook 2003; Outlook 2002 is supported but with reduced functionality: when replying to messages the original message will not be quoted.

Outlook 2000 and earlier versions are not supported.

NEW: Outlook 2007 supported. The DotNet runtime version 2.0 is required for this (it comes with Vista, or can be downloaded from here).

Pre-Requisites:

NewsLook requires the following to run:

• Outlook 2002 (XP) or Outlook 2003
• NewsLook also requires the DotNet runtime version 1.1. This can be got from Microsoft here.
